After selling the family business, he traveled across the country, attending a number of conferences in interactive marketing. From the early days of the Internet and the ‘dotcom’ bubble, Shepard became more than a casual observer of the power of the Internet as a marketing channel and research tool; he became an active participant and a thought leader.
